Once upon a time we (and a group of our Utah friends) were sitting around having coffee one fine afternoon.  Conversations whirled about and at some point, energy vortexes in Sedona were brought up.  Someone else responded with "Oh, Boulder Utah has those too" upon which yet another person said "Interesting... we should go there... like right now!"  At this point in most "normal" conversations, the group would chuckle to themselves at the absurd suggestion of travel 5 to 6 hours away at a last minute's notice.  This was no such conversation.   Read more

Those who've been hanging out with us over the past several months know that this is an event we've been waiting for and looking forward to for some time.  Wait a second... why the hell would a couple of shy travelers be interested in baring some skin and scampering through the streets of Salt Lake City?  To which we offer the same simple answer behind most of the strange things we do during our travels: WHY NOT?!  But The Utah Undie Run didn't just draw us in - this year, the crowd totaled a staggering 3,315!  Enough to set a new Guiness World Record for "Largest Gathering of People Wearing Only Underpants/Knickers".  And for many reasons, we're damn proud to have been a part of it 😀   Read more

3:45 A.M. came early (which I suppose is to be expected) and we rolled off our benches to prep for the approaching insanity.  Half of team "Hood to Whose Idea Was This" climbed in and Van 1 of 2 was off and rolling out of Hood River towards Mt. Hood.   The mountain was still enveloped in darkness as we parked near the relay's starting point.  A quick check of the weather confirms that my run was going to be quite brisk at 36 degrees.  Nerves and excitement set in as team names are announced over the loud speaker and the sun began to peak over Mt. Hood's conical snow line.  This is it... we try to wrap our minds around the fact that some time tomorrow afternoon we're going to have run as a team to the Oregon Coast 200 miles away, as long as we can actually make it.   We were about to attempt the possibly impossible task of completing the Hood to Coast Relay along with 12,816 other runners. Upon hearing reports of an immanent zombie infestation near the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City, we did what any good adventure bloggers would do -- we drove straight there and risked life, limb, and brains to capture the action!   Read more
