Epic Drives: Glacier National Park's Going-To-The-Sun Road
Is it weird that we had never heard of the Going-To-The-Sun Road until just before we headed to Glacier? I mean, seriously… this is one of the most epic drives in the United States of America and we knew almost nothing of it previously. Either way, I’m glad that was the case, because I had no idea what to expect (Sorry if I’m ruining it for you. You should stop reading here if you like surprises) as we ventured up this legendary road through Glacier National Park.
Driving the Going-To-The-Sun Road has actually been a bucket list item for our fellow van dwelling travel partner, Jared, for some time. He was happy to drive it and we were happy to oblige. I’m not going to go into all the history and details of this epic mountain road in this post. Quite frankly, because I’m sure there are better resources out there. Let’s just say that this road winds it’s way across massive mountain vistas and is quite literally carved right into the side of a sheer cliff at times with incredible drop-offs, should something go wrong. Super sweet, indeed. That being said, definitely check out our videos and pictures to either find yourself inspired to do it on your own or simply live this epic drive vicariously through us.
